Uh, I don't see in the link where he has said anyting other than 'he was in fear for his and other's lives'. You should provide basics on who you are, what happened and why you engsged. Sounds like he did. Nothing else is revealed that he may or may not have said.
I'm just guessing here, but I believe LAYGO may be referring to the video, where the LTC holder was talking with police officers. Myself, I think I would have said, "Officer, I don't feel really well right now, and I don't feel like talking." That is an unobtrusive way of saying, "I wish not to talk right now", and gets you the time you need to get representation.

In the video, the purported LTC & rescuer is smiling & having a conversation with the officers.

I have no problems with what he did, but law enforcement eventually might & do you really want this as your legacy on video?[/quote]

Hope the LTC wasn't intoxicated...he might lose his presumption of reasonableness. 'Cuz we all know it's not reasonable to shoot a guy just for killing the manager... :???:

The reports I saw categorized this establishment as a "bar". If this is true, did it have a 51% sign? Because if so, the good guy was not in legal carry.

Before you ask, Zona Caliente is a BLUE business per the TABC database.
I am assuming alcohol is not their primary business.

See my original post. Not a 51% location.

Law says 'impaired' - from what I can tell, there was no impairment to his use of his firearm. I would like to know how many shots fired vs how many hits. I'd bet his score compared favorably to that of most NYC cops.

Breastaraunt is used to describe restaurants such as Hooters, Redneck Heaven, etc.

No the law says INTOXICATED just like for driving. I believe he fired two shots and both hit.

The LTC probably never saw this video: "Don't Talk to the Police"

The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

If you are so clearly justified in shooting as it appears the LTC was, I wonder how much difference it's going to make whether you "lawyer up" or "yuck it up" with the cops initially at the scene. If the prosecutor really wants to go after you, your words are likely to get you in trouble when your "shoot" was questionable. I'd like to so hear about the cases where the defendant talking "made the difference" in what most would consider a good shoot.

It'd be interesting to hear Acevedo's comments on this incident. I bet he doesn't make a peep.
