The day before this happened my daughter was back in town from Ft Benning, GA. We went to the movie theater together. As I sat there waiting for the movie to start, I plotted out in my head what I would do if a lunatic gunman came into the theater. It was kind of freaky hearing the news of the CO tragedy after that.

Here is the police dispatch recording of the shooting as it played out. Listening to it makes me very angry at the lunatic who massacred the innocent victims.

I wonder how many attitudes this will change towards the UN small arms treaty.

Coincidence?

Maybe the guy is just plain evil. Maybe it's bath salts.

Maybe I'm crazy.
I hope you are not suggesting that our guvment would stage something like this to justify the ATT or support a gun control agenda? Surely they would never do anything illegal or result in someone being killed.

Holmes was remembered by neighbours in San Diego as a shy, well-mannered young man who was heavily involved in their local Presbyterian church.

“He seemed to be a normal kid, I don’t know what triggered it. This makes me very sad,” said Tom Mai, a retired electrical engineer. Some websites speculated that he held extreme Left-wing views and may have been an anti-capitalist protester. Another neighbour in San Diego said Holmes had tried and failed to secure a job after graduating.
I sure never saw any speculation about his being a left wing nut job......only that he was a Tea Party member.....and only until the fMSM realized that they weren't going to be able to pull this one a second time and get away with it.

This is their favorite meme: If you have a gun, you must be a conservative, and if you have a gun and are crazy, then you must be a Tea Party member.........because all good liberals who walk in lockstep and never learned any critical thinking skills know that the Tea Party are all crazy, and they all have guns, and they all walk around in a homicidal rage.

Based on what we know, it's possible he got everything from Holder and Obama. Not directly from their hands, but at their direction. If it was part of Fast and Furious, it explains why Obama didn't want those documents to see the light of day. Continuing the coverup only makes sense if there's more to the plot than providing guns to Mexican drug gangs. For example if they have other plans like this in motion.

The more I think about it, the more I also think that the credit card angle makes sense. I get those stupid things in the mail all the time...they go in the shredder, though. All he would have to do is apply for a bunch, a few of them actually come to him, and he ain't worried about ever paying them off...the REST of the people who use that company's card will have to do that for him, a few pennies from each person.

I could care less WHERE he got the money from. AR15=$ 700, 870 12 ga= $300, 2 Glocks $1000, Vest=$300, Helmet and misc $400, and say $1000 in ammo....
$4000 is not a huge amount of money to acquire when you are planning on dying or being locked up for the rest of your life.

It would be different if he purchased a Sherman Tank and drove it through the theater. The point is he acquired the guns, the same type of guns that politicians, the media, and celebrities will soon be calling for a ban or tougher restrictions on.

The Columbine High School massacre: April 20, 1999, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold were the killers. 14 students and 1 teacher were murdered. 24 injured. Under 25 years of age. Used straw buyers to buy the guns. Eric Harris was taking medication for anger depression and suicidal thoughts. Gun free zone.

The Virginia Tech massacre: April 16, 2007 Seung-Hui Cho was the killer. 33 students and teachers were murdered. 23 injured. Under 25 years of age. Bought guns locally shortly before shooting. Treated for anxiety disorder in high school, ruled mentally ill prior to the shooting. Gun free zone.

Tucson Massacre: January 8, 2011 Jared Lee Loughner was the killer. 6 people were murdered. 13 injured. 22 years of age. Bought the guns shortly before the shooting. Found by a judge to be incompetent to stand trial based on two medical evaluations, diagnosed with schizophrenia. Not a gun free zone. CHL assisted in stopping the shooting.

Aurora Movie Massacre: July 20, 2012. James Eagan Holmes was the killer. 12 people were murdered. 58 injured. Under 25 years of age. Bought the guns locally shortly before the shooting. Described as a loner with no friends, parents knew it was their son. Gun free zone.

Did I miss any mass shootings in the US? There was one in was it Utah at a mall? In all cases there was a political call to ban guns. Notice any similarities.

What made the movie theater a 'gun free' zone? I find no reference to it.

It's a "crisis" straight out of their playbook. I bet that's no coincidence.

You think we should ban people under 25 years old? :headscratch

Just finished seeing ice age 4 with my son at a Cinemark theater. I was curious how they would respond and what preventive measures they would implement to pacify the sheep.

1 police car parked out front in the firelane beside the ticket booth. Two police officers in the lobby standing where the attendant takes your ticket and directs you to the proper theater. Once in the theater I noticed the exit door was secured with yellow do not cross police tape in an X. They placed a chair next to the door and for the duration of the movie a teenage employee sat in that chair to prevent anyone from entering or leaving the theater.

All of this did not make me feel safer, it was eye candy for the sheep who think an unarmed teenage employee could stop anything. What made me feel safer was my situational awareness and the comfort of my second amendment right.
