From out here in NSW country, I would hazard a guess that it would be virtually impossible to diminish Ventura's reputation by any combination of words, phrases, utterances of any sort imaginable, and further that the next time he shows his face at McP's, a lot more than his reputation will be injured..... again. Just sayin'

'Continuing this action will serve no useful purpose, and likely will promote public perception of Jesse Ventura as someone who has little or no regard for the feelings and welfare of surviving family members of deceased war heroes,' lawyer John Borger told The Star Tribune.

Jesse will soon learn what all lawyers know, that an eye witness can ruin a good story.

Mr. Ventura it appears has proven what I had known all along... He is ... Well, let's just say he no longer appears to serve a useful purpose and is grasping at the last vestiges of notoriety. As one commenter on the stories site sated.. (paraphrase) Had he come out with a statement that thanked Mr. Kyle for his service and acknowledged they had met but his recollection of the event was far different and left it at that he would have garnered much more respect... To me, as it stands he is being juvenile and petty.

Jesse Ventura defames himself. These two pictures just about say it all:

ImageImage

Furthermore, Chris Kyle made no money off of his book, nor does Taya Kyle. He donated all the profits from his book to America's Mighty Warriors, a non-profit started by the mother of Marc Allen Lee, the first SEAL killed in Iraq, and dedicated to support and encourage the troops and their families (SOURCE: http://atwar.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/02/ ... l-brother/). So when Jesse "I dress like Elton John" Ventura sues Taya Kyle for prevent her from profiting from the book, he is NOT depriving her of anything except the money that it will cost to defend herself. He is in fact depriving the America's Mighty Warriors non-profit of the funds they rely on to perform THEIR mission of encouraging and supporting our nation's serving military and their families.

Jesse Ventura is not only classless, he is an ignorant fool. When even the NYT recognizes Kyle's contributions, Ventura is fighting a losing battle to keep the tarnish off of his limitless ego. He's not even worth a popcorn fart in the wind.

I sincerely hope that there are some attorneys somewhere who will step up and take her case pro-bono. She has already lost her husband to a higher cause. She should not have to lose her financial security to the ego of a sewer rat like Ventura.

It is further worth noting, as a sidebar, that this pogue was elected governor by the same state that sent Al Franken to the Senate. Must be a high lead content in the water up there or something....

In light of that, it seems like a judge ought to throw the lawsuit out, since its premise is, "It would be unjust to permit the estate to continue to profit from Kyle’s wrongful conduct and to leave Governor Ventura without redress for ongoing damage to his reputation."

Reading some of the comments on the Daily Mail, it's sickening that the only person taking Ventura's side is from Austin. How embarrasing for Texas.

Well, it would be if Austin was actually part of Texas instead of something that leaked over from a parallel universe around 1970..........
