Really Dumb Houston Bank Robbers

#1

Post by WildBill »

Two days before a west Houston bank heist, a 19-year-old bank teller named Estefany Martinez posted a update on her Facebook page: "Get $$$." What looked on surveillance video to be a classic bank robbery turned out to be an amateurish inside job, allegedly by two 19-year-old tellers with the help of a boyfriend and an older brother.

Two days after the robbery, Martinez posted: "IM RICH …" followed by a rhyming expletive.

Split four ways. So apparently $15,500 makes you rich.

You'd be surprised how often it happens. The people who were harassing us, posted pics of the BNE they did to my parents, and my little sister's house.

They failed to secure their FB settings, we took screen caps, and sent them to the police.

They left us alone after that, they had to pay for the damage.

We agreed not to press charges, so long as we never heard from them again.

My terms were I would send ALL the evidence to the woman's Principal, since she works for an ISD.
(If I ever heard from them again.)

For the life of me, I cannot understand the fascination with sharing your life via Facebook. Everyone around me (friends, family, etc) is doing this, but I still don't see the point. I guess I just don't think that my life is so fascinating that other people need to know all of its details.

As for the perps in this story, the amazing thing is that they managed to somehow survive 18+ years while being this dumb. The truly sad thing is that one of them is a single parent. I pray for the poor kid in this situation.

Life is hard enough for any child growing up, but with this type of parent, it's extra hard.

I used to live there in the 50's and early 60's. :coolgleamA:

There is also where Red Stegall's mother taught 2nd grade.

I guess you were in Fritch just before "Tater Salad" was coming up! :-)

WifeGBiv had her account for maybe 3-4 months...
After getting maybe 20 "friend" requests from people she didn't want to talk with again (from grade school days, or people from work that she didn't want viewing her personal life details) she closed her account and hasn't regretted it...

If I want to catch up with someone, I still prefer a long lunch or a phone call.

Facebook's a great way to meet/stay in touch with girls, it's also a great way to get in trouble:
