Al Qaeda apparently is responsible. Attackers probably came from Somalia.
Targeted non-Muslims.
Upscale shopping area, many non-blacks in the photos of victims.
Birthplace of Obama's father and brother.

Oh and Kenya has very restrictive gun laws.

This whole event scares me. The photos of the children really got to me. What's to prevent that from happening here? NSA listening in on our conversations didn't stop the Boston Bombing even with warnings from Russia!! Benghazi happens, "Why does it matter?!" Why does this matter? Now saying that 68 are dead. 3 of the terrorists reported as being American citizens. I've been looking at the photos that are posted on the Daily Mail. Lots of armed people identified as police in the photos, but none of them seemed to be wearing any type of ID. How do you tell the good guys from the bad guys in a situation like this?

But his goal, and the goal of left at large, is to make sure that America is not strong enough to do anything on its own, but only with the approval and aid of other left leaning nations. The left, here and abroad, has been complaining for decades that the US is too strong, too able to look after its own interests, especially when those interests do not include leftist goals.

That's why W was derided as a go-it-alone cowboy by the left despite being able to put together a political and military coalition of 30-some nations. When the Obama Admin has some diplomatic fiasco, from "reset buttons" to "redlines," gets dirt kicked in its face, and has to be bailed out by 2nd and 3rd tier dictators...that's a feature, not a bug to Obama. He doesn't see it as a personal loss, just verification that America is descending from "exceptional" to its proper level in the world hierarchy. He wants his legacy to be the president who humbled America; that's his "transformation."

This is all scaled down to the personal level: that's why guns and self-defense, liberty, self-reliance, small business entrepreneurialism, and any religion that isn't massively collectivist and doesn't compel collectivist and relativistic morals is "bad." "It takes a village," "Life of Julia," and massive regulation of commerce(which only large compliant corporations can afford) are "good."

I think we can survive him and the current Senate. I don't think we can survive another one like him with another Demo congress.

Regardless, this heinous crime, targeting unarmed civilians in a shopping mall is appalling. That is no more than revenge killing for the sake of killing. I do not understand what is the gain?

A French woman said she was freed by the Islamic terrorists because they told her they only wanted to kill Kenyans and Americans.

The woman, who only gave her name as Pauline, said she escaped with her two young children, who were given Mars bars by the gunmen.

Pauline said she was asked for forgiveness by the terrorists who told her 'we are not monsters'.

The mother of two, who was in the supermarket when the attack began, said once she agreed Muslims were not 'bad people' they gave her children, Emily, 6, and Eliot, 4, chocolate.

She told The Independent: 'He said we only only want to kill Kenyans and Americans. He then told me I had to change my religion to Islam and said "do you forgive us? do you forgive us?'

She said she was able to escape with another two children, including a wounded 12-year-old boy whose mother had been murdered.
