Anti Gun AMC calls the feds and they yank a man and his wife from the theater.

He was wearing Google glasses.

They interrogate he and his wife separately. Who do you work for? How many computers do you have? How much is Google paying you?

They then examine the Google glasses and then only find family pictures. Dooh.

He got 4 passes, so he could see the same movie he missed twice.

Your government and AMC hard at work.

This incident has nothing to do with AMC being anti-gun. I would also be suspicious of someone in the theater with a video recording device and have them removed if I were the management. I think they went way overboard calling the Feds, and the Feds went way overboard on their Gestapo interrogation methods, but video piracy is a big problem these days.

It does seem like a bit of an overreaction.

I wonder if he erased anything durng the confusion. Or was streaming to the cloud. If they were in a pocket that's one thing but wearing one during a movie is suspicious like having a video camera in your hand instead of stowed during a movie.

Someone just shoot me if I ever buy Google glass. That is when I know that I've jumped the shark as a human being.

According to the addendum to the story, he was wearing PRESCRIPTION lenses in his Glass frames. Way over reacting.

AMC apparently has no policy, so they respond by calling the FBI.

Do local LEOs enforce anti-piracy laws? They thought someone was recording, after all, he had a camera on his head.
How the feds react - well, that seems to vary substantially from one event to another.

The movie industry bribed (I meant lobbied) the right people in the federal government to make recording movies a federal crime.

I suspect that will soon be rectified and a policy will be in place.

The military channel had an interesting piece on last night called "inside the FBI" It showed a group of about 15 FBI agents all armed like SWAT officers conducting a search warrant on a middle class home. Their target was to retrieve computers, flash drives and portable hard drives from the home. I didn't quite catch what the crime was, but in the briefing before the raid, they said that everyone was to be on alert, as they had checked the gun registration records and their target had a 9mm hand gun registered at that address.

Seemed a much different FBI than the one I remember in the Jimmy Stewart movie.

You have to admire their long term planning though. Getting Article I, Section 8, Clause 8 into the United States Constitution was a stroke of genius by the movie industry.
