I posted a new article on http://www.TexasFirearmsCoalition.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and on Facebook. We need to start promoting HB308 to the public.

The 2015 Texas Legislative Session has barely begun and several very good gun bills have already been filed. Still more pro-gun bills are going to be filed shortly, so 2015 has the potential to be a banner year for law-abiding Texas gun owners. One of these pro-gun bills stands head and shoulders above all others in terms of its importance to and impact on Texas gun owners and that is HB308 by Rep. Drew Springer.
Very good article and I hope HB308 makes it through this time. As long as Pickett or some other anti does not rule the committee that it goes to, we may have a chance.

As of today only the Senate committees and their chairs have been appointed. Dan Patrick did that last Friday. No committee appointments or chair appointees in the House....yet. Maybe this week sometime? I'm really curious as well.

Charles, if the committee chair doesn't want to bring a bill up for a vote, is there any way the committee members can force a vote?

No.
Chas.
So we don't really have a Republic. We have a tyranny of the few. How nice.

That is a very good article. Other than politely asking our state rep to support the bill and do anything possible to help get it passed what can we do to help?
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

We either whine or keep calling and writing to our Rep and go into rallies if needed.
