You could just get a 9mm barrel and mags for that and convert it giving you the ability to shoot both.

It is a great idea, however, a barrel would have to be available in SC size, also the slide may need to be changed out as I am unsure the bushing size on the 40 and 9mm barrels are the same.

I saw a 9mm conversion barrel somewhere that is a drop in switch, but I cant remember where. Also that requires spending probably a good $200 on mags and a barrel, and at that point your already 1/2 way to buying a new gun.

Just out of curiosity, why would you sell your SA XD SC .40 for a SA XD SC 9mm?
I'm new to guns and just wondering - is it becuase of cheaper ammo? Or because of the recoil?

I'm pretty sure those conversion barrels are for the Service model (4").evilmercer wrote:You could just get a 9mm barrel and mags for that and convert it giving you the ability to shoot both.

Re: WTT/WTS Springfield XD Sub Comp 40
I have several other 9mm and only one other 40 cal, so caliber consistency is a consideration. Also I am looking for something a bit smaller.BlackWidow wrote:Just out of curiosity, why would you sell your SA XD SC .40 for a SA XD SC 9mm?

What about stepping up to a xd 45acp with xs sights only 300 rounds thru it? Let me know.
