WTS in DFW: Para Ord 1911 - LTC .45
I have a Para Ordnance LTC 1911 for sale. It's in excellent condition. I am the second owner and estimate the rounds to be around 500 or so. The finish is in good shape with some wear on the high points, but nothing that detracts from the looks. There are also a few marks at the ejection port caused by spent casings, but again not bad at all. This is a very nice looking gun and the black finish is set off nicely by the nickel controls.
It comes with two factory 7rd mags, box and papers. The guns shoots excellent and I'm quite impressed with the performance of the Para as it was my first one of this brand. This is the newer model with the Power Extractor and it definitely rips shells out and tosses them as it should.
I'll take $525 for it FTF or can ship for $50 more.

Hi Dubya!! The Para LTC I got is great.. Shoots as good as my Kimber Custom 11..( i.e. better than me ) and it looks prettier..I'm very happy with it.. I also got my 3rd 1911.. Colt 1991A1 Compact. I've ordered some Wilson's recoil/rod/spring bushing for it. I guess this is the first gun I have that I will customize a little bit...

Hey Dubya...I'll put in my 2 cents as well... If it wasn't for the fact that I've got two other commander-sized 1911's (that I have a bunch of money in), I wouldn't have sold the Para. It was my first one but I was very impressed with how it shot. Definitely a good buy as far as 1911's go, IMHO. It was dead-accurate and flawless in operation.dubya wrote:...Let me know what you think of the Para when you shoot it.

Thanks guys! I am considering a high cap 1911 (guess that means Springfield Armory or Para-Ordnance) and the feedback helps. I believe the DA Paras are sold a lot for law enforcement for the trigger. I am thinking about a traditional trigger on something like the 14.45 LTD (SX1445 Limited). Your info on the Para helps; if I can get past the fact it is Canadian (I haven't forgotten Jane Fonda either) they seem to make a nice firearm. I probably want a traditional 1911 in high cap but everyone seems to like the Para Warthog also (I have a Colt Defender so don't need to "go small").
Thanks for the tips!

There's a lot of more pleasant things that can come to mind when you think Canada and Jane Fonda..You're welcome to fondle the PARA whenever you have time to go shooting with me so you get a first hand feel....
