TRADED

#1

Post by snatchel »

Hey fellas... I hate to get rid of my SP101, but I need to trade for something that can more easily be pocketed or carried on my ankle. I am particularly interested in an LCR because the holsters I have for my SP101 will fit, but I would be willing to trade for other small handguns in the 9mm or .38 special variant.

In the event that you have something other than an LCR that would interest me, I would be delighted if holsters came along with it :) I live in San Angelo, and will not ship. I will be in the Dallas/Fort Worth complex this weekend, and would be happy to do business with anyone there. Txt @ 3252264052

Ruger SP101
2 1/4 inch
.357/.38 rated
Approx 200 rounds through it.
No serious marks/scratches.

By the way, I just got back from the range this morning. I will clean the SP before I trade, I promise!

Snatchel, I know that V-rog is looking to sell, not trade, but have you seen this: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=54836" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ?

Oh, I definitely saw it.. LOL. Problem is that it's way out of my price range, and I'm trying to do a 1-for-1 swap... Thanks for pointing that out though. What say you swap me for your airweight? :coolgleamA:

Thanks, but I'm not too interested in any of Keltec handguns :) I also hate them.. LOL.

For reference, here are the smaller auto's I would consider:
-Beretta Nano
-Beretta PX4 Subcompact
-Kahr's

This list is by no means conclusive, but that's a start for an idea of what I'm looking for.

If you mean my M&P340 Scandium gun, no thanks. However, I'll ask my wife if she's interested in trading her 642 CT Airweight (with Crimson Trace grips), if that appeals to you at all.

It certainly would appeal to me, but I would end up in the hole about 100 bucks or so wouldn't I? I'm not sure my wife would go for that....

I don't remember what you paid for yours. MSRP at this time for the 642CT is $669.00. As I recall, I paid about $629.00 for my wife's gun in February of 2008 (it was my Valentine's Day gift to her). It's had probably 200-300 rounds through it over the years. It's in really good shape, but it isn't worth today what I paid for it then......at least I'm pretty sure it's not. OTH, yours is used too, and the NIB price is comparable. Yours weighs 26 oz. Hers weighs 15 oz.

She may not be interested, and she might want to shoot it first to see if she likes it. Anyway, I'll talk to her. She never carries her snubby anymore. Her EDC is a CW9 Kahr.

I think i'm in the SP101 for a little under $500. I'm trying to avoid spending a penny for a trade.

Fair enough.

No, thanks! I shot an M&P 9 Shield yesterday evening, and if I don't trade for a smaller wheel gun, I may hold out and trade for one of those little guys. I was super impressed with it.

nice to see someone else from San Angelo! I don't have an LCR to trade (it belongs to the lady and is kitchen gun) but I do have a S&W MP9 compact if you are interested.
Happily serving in the USAF.
