Trying to find Ruger LCP/Kel Tec P3AT in Houston?

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and I was wondering if there's anyone from the Houston area and if so by chance knowing where I can find either a Ruger LCP or a Kel Tec P3AT in town? I know Republic Arms of Houston has 1 P3AT but they want close to $500 for it which I think is completely unreasonable. Anyones, if anyone can keep an eye out, that'd be great!

I think you have an accurate idea of the market for compact pistols at present. They ain't none to be had. Maybe you can get a dealer to order one at MSRP.

Oh, and the ammo situation is even more ridiculous.

What Jim said PLUS .380 acp must be non-existent. You might want to look for a 9mm gun that uses ammo that may be found during certain and unannounced planetary alignments.

.380 ACP ammo can be found, but in my case it can be found in a safe with a hungry Rotweiller chained to it.

Get in touch with Brian at Carter's Country in Stafford. He may not have the ammunition but will usually get an Elsie Pea for you within a day or two. Target ammo for the .380 is spotty at best at a few of the local Wally worlds but SD ammo such as Power Ball can be had on a regular basis at Collector's firearms. Best of luck in your search.

I've got a dual tone Bersa .380 I'd be willing to part with, but my CTL-mounted LCP is not for sale or trade. Sorry.
I've got a Fobus OWB holster for it that I'd throw in, plus a box (50) of target rounds.

Academy gets the LCP's in periodically. If you know one of the counter men he might be willing to call you. they can put a hold on one. they wanted around 360 with the mag package last week.

The Arms Room in League City has a couple P3AT's. One of them was tagged at $329, IIRC.

For what is is worth I had an LCP. Didn't like it. Too small for my hands. Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn as I couldn't grip it.

As my neighbour told me when I moved in, "Art at Republic knows his stuff, but he is not running a charity". I only went there once to get a quote and then promptly bought the gun online for $400 less. It's a shame as I can walk there from my place.....

There was an LCP in the case yesterday in the Academy on the west side of town at I-10 and Grand Parkway. Didn't pay attention to the price though.

Academy here in the valley (mcallen) has them for $349. almost got one but would not much good without ammo.
