Kimbers, possibly other brands

#1

Post by DaveT »

Do to ongoing health issues that have curtailed my shooting and diminished my desire to keep on collecting guns, I will be soon be listing quite a few of my guns for sale.

I am sorting through my gun safe and will list them for sale here first, most likely early next week.

Have quite a few Kimbers, many that have never been fired, just cleaned and put into the safe.

All will be priced to sell quick as I don't want to drag this out.

Many here have bought/sold/traded with me before, no worries.

Stay tuned.....

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.

While I am a cancer survivor, my body has just never recovered
from the 40 radiation treatments. Lots of side effects that I've
had to learn to live with.

Hitting a deer while riding my motorcycle didn't help matters,
neither did Vietnam........ and getting old sucks, LOL !!!

I'm going to be keeping my 'family of stainless TLE Kimbers
and my Kimber Solo for now, might replace that with the new
Sig P938 when it becomes available.

Will also hang on to one shotgun and one AR-15.

Really sorry to hear about your cancer. Cancer survivor here too, but fortunately no chemo. I really hope you eventually feel better. I did not do Vietnam, but I had an incident with my motorcycle also...its now for sale.

Its funny, I also want the new P938...and I had the Kimber Solo on order for 9 months, it never came in.

I really am sorry that things aren't working out quite like you wished. I admire that you are able to still be walking around and shooting... even a little.. after all that. You are a bigger man than I.

As far as your collection goes- I want to thank you for putting them on this forum first. I guess if nothing else, you can rest assured they will go to a good home :)

Out of curiousity, would you consider selling the collection to someone for a lowered combined price? Or do you plan on piecemealing the whole set out?

Hadn't thought of this option, but the answer would be yes.

I am sorry to hear of others having health issues. Cancer has been a cruel thing to so many people. I wish you the best in beating it!

However, I'm also interested in a Kimber if you decide to sell. I've been hunting for one for my brother in law's graduation from law school. He's been wanting to get his CHL and carry a 4" 1911. Very interested to see what you put up.

Dave,

Sorry to hear about your health issues, I pray that you will find some relief and your health will return in time.

Thank you for your service from one veteran to another! :patriot: :tiphat:

I will keep an eye on your sell as I have been looking for a springfield champion loaded 4" 1911 for a while now, if you have anything in that category I would be interested and would give it a good home.

I am sorry to hear about your illness, we will keep you in our prayers.
