About 4 to 5 dollars a round. That would make for a very expensive trip to the range.

Back in the early 80s my gun club would hold a full auto day about every two months ( got to fire a lot of WWII vintage full autos). We had a member with a .50 cal MG mounted in the back of a Toyota PU. I asked him how he fed it. He stated he would follow the tanks doing maneuvers at Fort Bliss and pick up anything that fell off the tanks ( sometimes long belts). These days the practice areas are fenced with 6’ chainlink and they are patrolled. Was a blast to see him let the big dog eat. I fell in love with a guy’s Thompson with a 50 round drum.
