Sponsor a Ballistic Vest for a Dallas Police Officer

I attended a fundraiser last night and met many members of the DPD Gang unit and Honor Guard. The Dallas Police Dept. was devastated by the events of last July, the Pension Fund scandal, and the lack of support by City Government.

BARBECUE, BOOTS, and BADGES is a 501 (c)3 dedicated to serving those who serve us. The charity was founded by former Dallas County Commissioner Maurine Dickey and is supported by Dickey's BBQ.

Please take a minute to consider supporting this very worthy cause. They are providing the officers with lightweight polymer ballistic plates that will fit into their current concealed vests and these plates are rated for stopping high velocity rifle rounds. It is entirely plausible that 4 of the officers murdered last year during the Black Lives Matter event could have survived if equipped with these plates.
