Gun sticks out of shirt with movement
hello, I have a question. I carry a usp compact 45 in a ttgunleather which is like a vm2 but it does it in every holster i've tried. when i bend down or get out of the car/similar movements my shirt slides in behind the gun showing it
is this because i do not have a gun belt or will it happen regardless?
I also feel that while walking the holster slides side to side on my belt?
please advise me
thanks

A gun belt will surely help. Make sure and get the correct belt width for your holster & belt loops. Standing arms at your sides, where on your arm does the hem of your untucked shirt hit?

Re: Gun sticks out of shirt with movement
sounds like the shirt is too short. depending on your shirt size you may want to start getting shirts with the tall option.
a gun belt is a good idea even if its not the problem. i didnt think that it could make a difference but it certainly does. i bought one from galco and its my everyday belt even without a gun on. in fact i dont think that i've ever owned a belt this long before.

Yup. Longer shirt. Either get one size larger or find tall's.
In polo style shirts when I'm carrying IWB one size larger and untucked works good for me. I normally wear a large, but can get away with an XL. I'm right on the edge.
When I carry OWB I'll wear a large or snug t-shirt and a button down overshirt. Personally, I like denim for the weight. It doesn't get blown around as easy, but I do have some light weight bowling style shirts. For these, I'm actually comfortable with 2 sizes larger or a tall in my size or one size bigger. Most of these are short sleeve with a few long sleeve that I just roll up. I've never really noticed anyone giving me a close look.

Sounds like you need to get a longer shirt or a shorter gun?

Yep. or he could shrink himself
But really, one size larger shirt should work. Thats what most of us do.

Not really what I would call "very large". Try one that hangs at least 6-8 inches or so below the top of your pant waistband.trophybuck135 wrote:here are some pics of a very large shirt i have. thanks

Also try bending at the knees rather than at the hips.

Try wearing the gun closer to the centerline of your body (3:30-4:00)

Re: Gun sticks out of shirt with movement
The gunbelt should help a great deal. It will fill you holster loops.
Your belt looks quit loose to me. If it is loose try taking it up a notch.
I do not recomend the internal stiffener. Have one & never wear it.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Re: Gun sticks out of shirt with movement
That A-line maternity look from the overlarge shirt pains me, and I'm not anywhere close to being fashionable. Try heavier fabric shirts that are tailored so that they don't have all that excess material floating around down there that you clearly don't need. Do you see how you could grab fistfuls on each side of the shirt near your hips and still have plenty of room in the shirt? Shirts from lower-priced outlets are much more prone to this A-line shape. Do you see that big triangle of fabric that's just poking out the back with no where to go? If you cut down on the amount of fabric you have around your waist and bring it in tighter to your body, you won't have so much material flopping around when you bend waiting to get tucked up on your gun.trophybuck135 wrote:
This is about as much flair as you want at the bottom of the shirt. Notice how he couldn't grab fistfuls of shirt on each side without significantly changing how the bottom hem laid? He is still loose and casual, but he doesn't have excess fabric folding over and flopping around in his straight line shirt. If this guy was carrying and remembered to bend at the knees, he wouldn't show or get his shirt stuck up over the gun.

There is nothing compact about a USPc .45 - owned one. Carried one. IMHO it can't be done well in summer without MAJOR sacrifices in form, fashion, and function.
