My first shot at Kydex

So a friend of mine wanted to make a holster for his glock 22. So we started looking at options, and figured we would make our own. I think this turned out pretty good for our first try. I have more pics if you want to see more angles. Let me know what you think.

Neoprene Foam from http://www.knifekits.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and some shelf board I took out of an old closet. Ill post pictures of the back later this afternoon.. the back looks way different than the front.

we have now made a hybrid (kydex and leather) holster for a 1911, a mag holder for an AR15 and a shotshell holder for a 12 gauge... pics to follow

we finished a hybrid ( leather and kydex) slide holster for a Rossi .357 revolver tonight..

Kydex is lots of fun. In the last 2wks I've made 2 hybrids and one like the bladetech eclipse......all for my Kimber Ultra. I will be posting pics in a new thread soon.

Your first one looks very good. I would like to see pics of the others you mentioned.

Op - looks good.

If I may just add a word of advice to help: make sure you are leaving some room in the holster so it is not a skin tight fit. For example - if you use a heavy tube sock when fitting and molding it will give you some room to help avoid any marring on your firearm. This is not as important when making a hybrid holster as the leather will give some when drawing and holstering - the kydex will not give as easily.
