Excellent holster that solves the poking problem we & many others had or have w/ the C-TAC. Only problem jbird still has w/ his Infadel is that it is shaped like a Ga,Ga,Gla, Gla, OHHH yall know. I still cant say it.
Mine works great cause it is shaped like a 1911.

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

Alright, this looks like the thread I have been looking for. I currently have a C-Tac for my PX4 and am really happy with the quality and service I've gotten from comp-tac, but, like others, this thing pokes me so I have already been looking for something new, and I think I will give the Infidel a try. Can anyone tell me how it feels driving with it? I can walk around, sit at my desk and be fairly comfortable, minor poking with the c-tac, but in the car this thing digs into me somethin' fierce. Especially since I tend to wear at 3 o'clock. Thanks for the feedback and it looks like I'll be makin an order this week unless anyone can give me a single reason not to.

From Houston to Vegas and back again with a Infidel at 3:00. Well over sixty hours in the car on this trip and only a couple of minor adjustments. Pretty darn comfortable. I would have had to throw the CTAC out the window

My daily summer carry. You will like it. I pastor a country church so spend some time at a desk, do a lot of short trip driving & sit a lot at hospitals. Infidel good.

LT, are the hospitals in your area posted?
Around here, so many of them are posted. It's a bit irritating. The Beaumont area hospitals are almost all posted. I know the Christus hospitals are.

None of them are properly posted. They both have the ghost buster. Nachodoches has 2 hospitals & the last time I was there both were improperly posted w/ the ghost buster only. Livingston did not even have that the last time I was there.
I think the Harris county DA is very influiential in getting the # of 30-06 signs posted that Houston has. When I go to Lubbock I do not find it there. Some of you guys from out West speak.
I tell anyone that I am a law abiding citizen that even obeys the ghost busters. The gun in the picture appears to be a Baretta 92 & I do not carry one, have never owned one & do not plan to take one in any hospital.
I carry a 1911

That's what I told Mom one day--the gun in the picture is a Beretta, and mine's a Bersa. She rolled her eyes.
I'm glad you get to carry in hospitals. As a pastor, I know you go there often to visit ppl, so its good that you don't have to worry about disarming.

One of the most dangerous places I go is the ER late at night. Friday night - Sunday night is the worse time. I am there for anything from heart attach, stroke, wreck, & yes sometimes family violence or other asaults, rapes, bad trouble - people just die in the night.
Worst I ever worried about was 20+ yrs ago. (before CHL) Perpetrator killed an aged father, shot the mother, kidnapped the mid 20/s daughter & raped her. Had the rape victim in an old county hospital, & all family there.
In comes the perpetrater w/ self inflicted gunshot wound & all his family. He attempted suicide & finally died.
There was one,One, ONE, ONLY 1, deputy to keep the families separated in a 20 bed hospital w/ a ER waiting room about 20x40.
I have watched drunks come in after beating the wife or girlfriend. Family of the victim get there. Fights start, "Im leaving, I'll get him."
Yes Maam I have seen it all in the ER. The most absurd & dangerous job in the world is Hospital security guards in ER late at night who have uniform, badge, telephone, handcuffs, & tell the trouble above to settle down & behave yourself.

OOOOPS
I just realized this thread has been hijacked from comptac holsters to hospital carry.
I am guilty too. Lets get it back & if necessary start a new one.

Well, I have had my infidel for a few days now and yesterday was my first 10+ hour day of wearing, and I have to say that everyone that said it was a big difference over the C-Tac was dead on right. This is a great holster, conceals well, and has been far superior in the comfort department. Thanks to those who chimed in with opinions.

Sounds like I may have to explore this new setup, I've been debating investing in a good tuckable lately. I'm off to CompTac's site to investigate...

If you have to have a tuckable stick w/ the infadel or go to a Tucker Answer.
as much as possible try to stay away from tuckables. They are better than in the truck but take too long to get to at best & next to impossible in a fight.
Hostage situation where you might have time to get to it while he, she, they & them are not watching is possible.
I do tuck on most Sundays. Got the holster from you & wearing it now but IWB. Had it tucked this morning. It is less than ideal.
The CTAC belt clips are just tooooo long & gouge & poke to much while setting. If they would raise it up 2-3 inches it might be different.
My .02 cents & some think it worth about half that.
Friend.

I had my Glock 26 with Pearce extension throughout my trip to Vegas. I carry a Glock 17, 19 (only around the house...don't trust it yet), and a Glock 22 in it as well. Small, medium, and large all ride nicely in the holster at 3oclock. If you want to try it before you buy....you know where I hang out. Just send me a PM and we can meet up and shoot.

Well,
This post is two days too late. I just ordered a C-TAC on Friday (I ordered the slider so that it will work with my future 1911 purchases). I spoke to the lady that runs the place (very nice) and she got me to JB (also very nice and helpful) who is in charge of the shop. He told me that all 6 of the guys that carry there wear a C-TAC and they have thier choice of anything. That was a pretty strong endorsement for me, so I ordered it.
I also looked at the Answer from Tuckers (which would cure the poking)... I think that Comp-Tac makes the Kydex portion of the Answer for Tucker's. But, I was concerned that it would be too thick. I also think that Tucker's makes the belts Comp-Tac. At least it looks that way when you cross reference the websites.
On a side note does anyone have a solution for cell phone carry on @ 1 1/2 inch belt? When I asked Comp-Tac they told me that they all make themselves really cool Kydex phone holders that we can't buy. LOL.
