Converting a super tuck from clips to loops?

#1

Post by atxtj »

I've been thinking about converting my super tuck over to loops since I never tuck a shirt in outside of work, and would prefer not to mar up my new gun belt. Anyone done this, or have any ideas on where I could find screw in loops? Open to other ideas to get away from metal clips as well. :bigear:

Tandy leather out of ftw or on line. you can get what you need there as far as the Chicago screws and leather strips but I think you are going to have a hard time. it is going to make the crossbreed ride high. You might just want to buy a new holster that is designed for just that proposes
Some parents say it is toy guns that make boys warlike. But give a boy a rubber duck and he will seize its neck like the butt of a pistol and shout "Bang!"......George Will

That's my problem, (see my vmII for sale thread), I love how low the st rides. I may try Theis holsters, or comp-tacs kydex clips. Seems like that might be a better option.

I purchased a set of kydex belt clips from Comp-Tac and mounted them on my Crossbreed SuperTuck. Since I did that a year ago, I have had zero additional belt marring while retaining the ability to go "tuckable".

I'm not exactly sure what your asking, however I have a set of Crossbreed V-clips seen here:

that I would be happy to give you.

I also live in Pflugerville. Let me know if this would help you.

Very kind of you! :tiphat: but my belt will not have a Velcro insert, so the v clips won't help. My issue is I don't want to damage my new gun belt with the regular crossbreed steel clips. Fussy, I know but I hate messing up good craftsmanship.

Oh, I see what you need now. Leather loops. That's easy, just find a local saddle shop or leather works guy. Here's one in Luling.

These Comp-Tac clips can replace the Crossbreed clips. Simply unscrew the Crossbreed clip and screw in the Comp-Tac one. They hold well, and do not mar a belt in any way.

Thanks JF, I'm gonna pick up a set of those as well as the theis clips and compare. Possibly a Garrett industries silent thunder fusion holster too. Can never have too many holsters, right?
