LC9 OWB options

#1

Post by Hibbidydoo »

Well, my wife bought her first gun on tuestay. She went in to put the p238 and shield side by side and walked out with with an lc9. I was impressed with the size and weight and she loves how it fits her hand. She has finally decided to get her CHL. She has not fired it yet, but we are headed to the club tomorrow...

if she likes it, we will be on the hunt for a holster. I have only carried iwb, but she is wanting to go owb.

Does anyone have a suggestion for an owb that will cover the whole back side of the firearm? I saw that winthrop makes one, but ive never seen any real reviews on them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I carry my LC9 IWB in a Milt Sparks VM2 but they have some nice OWB models also.

I have an IWB an OWB for my P938 from Bullard and it works great, is comfortable too. You can actually configure a custom holster on his web site. What I like best is the fact the gun fits perfectly, a bit tight to start with but after a few weeks of using it the holster stretched to a perfect fit.

My wife wears her LC9 OWB in one of these.

She wears it inverted, with smaller opening upward. Fits here LC9 perfect. I can carry my 4" 1911 in it worn with the larger opening upward.
It's our multipurpose holster and for $15, one of our best investments considering its usefulness.

High Noon, Don Hume, UBG, and Tagua all make good, reasonably priced OWB holsters. UBG makes the holster to order, the other usually have what you want in stock. :tiphat:

I'm going to toss out Hidden Hybrid Holsters. Offers both IWB and OWB options in the same holster. Most comfortable holster I own.
