Just an update, I finally took a decision...

I ordered the MTAC Minotaur. I'll update again when I receive it.

Thanks to all for the advice.

Received mine in the mail yesterday. Very pleased with my decision to go with the MTAC. Very well made and comfortable. If I could only get DPS to move a little faster in getting my CHL processed.... :txflag:

I've been researching this for a couple weeks as well and just came across the Minotaur tonight and I have to say....I'm kinda leaning more toward it at this point. I've heard rave reviews and happy buyer after happy buyer talk about thier crossbreed super tuck and how much they love it and I was pretty much sold too untill.....and I can't believe none of the Minotaur owners mentioned this.....INTERCHANGEABLE KYDEX!!!
That really seems like a top notch idea to me. Becuse really, who wants to spend 80 bucks on a new holster everytime you get a new pistola when you can simply just buy a new custom kydex half for only 38.00 and switch it out with your existing leather??
Just my .02 but I think that with my next gun purchase a Minotaur will be following a day or two later.

Got my M-tac A couple of days ago. I like it a lot, took a little adjusting to get it at the ride hieght and cant I wanted, but its made for that.

Breaks in fast, and very comfortable with M&P 45 compact. Easy fast draw, and reholster too.

Cant go wrong with the M-Tac Minotaur. :txflag:

The interchangeable kydex was another reason I went with the MTAC.
This is important to me, should I break the Kydex, or decide to buy another gun.

The others were: it already has the "Combat cut," and the "rivets" are covered with another piece of leather.

It was a difficult decision, since I had read equally great reviews on both products.

I'm glad this thread is here. I've been been trying to decide on one of the two for a little while, and they both get excellent reviews. I just ordered the M-TAC and a matching belt.

 Your absolutely right. It has just become a given and something I overlooked. It is definitly a plus to be able to use the same holster for all the different iron.

If anyone wants a review of the M-TAC just click the link in my signature. I got one back when they only offered the C-clips with 3 holes. 3 years and still wearing great. Comp-Tac is a great company and they are right here in Texas. Cant go wrong there. I even have one of their double mag pouches and the clip cracked once and was replaced in less than a week.

I went through the compare and contrast process of Minotaur vs Crossbreed.

I ended up ordering the Crossbreed because I am dead-set on the horsehide.

That being said, will the MTAC belt clips fit on the Crossbreed? I REALLY want the C-clips that MTAC offers. Crossbreed does not appear to have those (just the V-clips or the J-hooks, or the standard clips).

I want to end up with the Crossbreed Supertuck in horsehide, the C-Clips from MTAC, and a belt from either MTAC or from The Beltman. Is this doable?

Google's Chrome Browser is reporting that Cross Breeds web site is infected (on 3/11). I had intended to order the Cross Breed Super Tuck, but after Chrome flagged the web site, I re-read all the comments on this thread and ended up ordering the Minotaur MTAC. They look pretty comparable, but the fact that Comp-Tac is based in Texas swung the deal for me.

Note - as 0f 3/18 - whatever problem there was with there web site is gone now. It comes up fine, no errors or warning messages.

M-TAC and belt arrived today. Added a Don Hume mag carrier that I picked up over the weekend. I am wearing it all right now. It is all very comfortable, and it just disappears under an ordinary t-shirt

Today I switched over from from a piecemeal cloth and nylon carry setup to $200 worth of dead cow, and the difference is like night and day.

If you remember from a previous thread, I volunteered to order the JND Tactical and review it since nobody responded that they had tried one. I did. The people were very nice and very responsive to my emails checking on the status, but as of last night, 3 weeks after ordering, stated it would be another week due to additional delays.

Again, they were very quick to respond to my emails and questions, and if I had another tuckable IWB holster to fall back on, I would have held out and tried the JND Tactical, but I was worried about additional delays, since last night was the third.

So today I ordered the MTAC. The reasons I picked the MTAC over the Crossbreed are the interchangable kydex, the reviews on this thread that said pants with a larger waist are not needed....and the free shipping and handling this month that made it the same price as the CB. (The free shipping wasn't really a factor but it made the $80 holster easier to swallow.)

:anamatedbanana Ordered my Minotaur today!! :anamatedbanana
After I confirmed payment they said it would take 2-3 weeks for delivery? Really?
Also that they are custom made for each order. The design seems pretty simple to me, what is it they have to custom build? Seems to me that all the leather is the same, then take the kydex half shell and attach it and you're done....maybe someone can shed some light on the subject for me.
