Crimson trace for a Ruger .380 LCP

#1

Post by Eddie »

I recommend it thoroughly. The Ruger .380 LCP is a thin, lightweight handgun, but the fixed sights are physically small. Crimson Trace makes a laser grip that attaches to the trigger guard that (in my opinion) negates the problem with small sights.

:iagree:

IMHO the CT laser is almost a mandatory upgrade on an LCP

I've looked at those, but it seems to me you give up a little more of an already minimal grip length

You do, but if you use the pinky extension on the mags it's not enough to make a huge difference. It does however (IMHO) make shooting the gun without the extensions a bit problematic. All my mags have extension now and it still carries and draws from pocket just fine.

I have the CT on my LCP only problem I have is now finding a holster to fit my gun. Ordered one from Galco, too small and they said they don't make one yet to fit the LCP w/ct. Sigh.

My mags have the pinkie lip, except for the 10-rnd (which came with one :???: )
I guess I'll buy the CT and see. I saw amazon had them for $169

http://www.pocketholsters.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; makes one specifically for the LCP + CT combo.

I ended up tossing the leather "anti-print panel" and made my own wrap-around plastic anti-print device from an old laundry detergent bottle (photos next time I get a chance).

I carry mine in a Blackhawk #2 Pocket Holster I picked up at Academy for $12. The #1 is made for a pistol the size od the LCP and fits the CT but I chose the #2 because it conceales the entire pistol. I did have to remove a few stitches from the inside seam because it was depressing the button on my CT and running the battery down :banghead: Works fine now with my "mod", and I carry it everywhere. I agree that the CT is a necessity because of the absence of sights.
