Done ALOT of research on individual websites and this forum for a good match for my CZ 40-P. I would like a tuckable IWB because it does not get cold enough to carry outside waist in Clear Lake!

I have heard that the CZ P01, the Sig 229R (w/rails), 226R (same) will fit but I spoke with the guy at comp-tac and he told me he could not help.

Does anyone have any experience with holsters and this particular gun?

I have looked at high noon, galco, fobus, K&D, HBE, Tucker, Don Hume, Brock, etc. NONE have one for mine.

OR should I tell my lovely bride that I NEED another weapon [/u]

You will probably need a new weapon or a custom built holster. Some of the makers do custom work.

Have you tried giving Mark Craighead at crossbreed a call? I don't see the gun in their list but they say on the site to call and ask, they may be able to get ahold of one to make you a holster.

Doing research on kydex and how to mold. It is surprisingly easy with few tools needed!!

Pretty handy so I might give it a shot. Custom made might be the best way. Can also mold to my "love handles"

I have an Answer from Tucker, I love the leather/kydex mix. If you do build your own, look into that design.

Tucker may be able to custom make you one as well.

CZ 40-P is a great range gun!! They are too heavy to carry and you can't find holsters for them.

TELL your bride you need a proper "carry gun"!!!!

PS, it gets easier over time, each one is a little easier. When you get up to around 5 or 6 most spouses can't keep track any longer. Think about it, do you know how many purses or pairs of shoes she has?
*note: Never keep all of your guns in the same place and don't let your spouse see more than 2 of them at the same time.

Anyplace else you'ld have to pay for valuable information like this.

Point well taken OverEasy!!!! I will go shopping tonight! What do yall think about the Bersa Thunder or Sprinfield XD?? I DO NOT like Glock and I know the safety (or lack of) is the same on the XD.

Any Suggestions??

Yah...new handgun...love my 239 (carry)- Galco Fletch and 229R Sigs
You may want to seek out High Velocity....seem he's got a handle on every holster., carry system made..if it's out there.
He's on the forums....you might want to PM him as well.

The XD has an added grip safety over the glock. Cannot fire unless both grip and trigger is pressed. Even in the event of the sear releasing the striker for some weird reason such as maybe dropping it, the firing pin block safety will prevent a primer strike. I love mine, very accurate for a defense gun.

The 40-P is a nice gun and the added weight under the muzzle from the xtra steel (rail) is a bonus in my book.

I had a 40-P a while ago and used a Galco Scout IWB holster for a Beretta 92. A little wet molding and some patience and it fit perfectly.
I'll bet that with a Kydex Beretta 92 or XD holster and a heat gun you could have a proper fitting holster in an hour. Maybe even a Glock 20/21/29/30 sized holster could be molded to fit.

When what I want isn't available off the shelf, I will make it. I'm not afraid of ruining things. Besides, I have tools, they can't just sit there in the toolbox and rust!

I currently have a Bersa .380 that I carry regularly, and I believe it would likely do the job if I ever needed it.
But ya know what? Bigger is often better.

Venus - I, too, lusted in my heart after a 1911 and finally got one. It's great to shoot, and a good car gun, but... after carrying a Glock all this time, I just could not get used to the weight of it, so I don't carry it on my body.

It's easier to conceal because it's slimmer, but, dang, that thing weighs a ton!

DH got "me" a 1911 but I did not care for the weight. Also the trigger pull was very hard. He is in the process of redoing many things (as men will) and I am sure it will be as smooth as glass, but I like my G19. I am comfortable with it and proficient, maybe someday I will reclaim that 1911, but for now I am happy. (Santa has my letter requesting a proper gunbelt and DOH holster though)

Found it!!!!!

Went to ProDefense on Nasa Rd 1 today and spoke a few guys there about my problem with hlstering my CZ 40-P. One guy told me to find holsters that are made for brownings because they designed the CZ. (This sounded odd because CZ is a Czech gun).

Anyways, one of the other gentlemen asked me how I would carry. Since the 40-P is kind of bulky I responded "Shoulder." I did mention to him that Academy had about the same generic shoulder holsters for about $80 cheaper. Then he took me over to the appearal area and showed me the neatest set-up I have sen yet. It is a 5.11 Tactical Brand undergear shirt with built in ambidex. pockets sewn into the sides under the arm. He only had one and it was JUST MY SIZE!! He had ordered for another guy but it was too small for him.

Believe it or not, Prodefense had a GOOD price on this ($39.95). It is either the same or higher on the interent. Usually I find their prices a little high but, not on this. I immediately purchased it, took it home and tried her on. It is supposed to fit tight like an "Under Armor" and hold the pistol close. It fit the CZ cozy and did not "hang" like I hoped it wouldn't do. So, my search is over, I have found my answer because I can wear this under any shirt and tuck in or leave out.

What I really like about it is it is good for any weather. Summer time - it "wicks" perspiration and keeps you cool. Winter - traps heat in to hold body temperature. it is made with anti-microbial lycra material that will not leave sweat stains or marks and will not stain or fade.
