Good to know. I just got my CHL last November, and carrying in the winter isn't a problem. Trying to cover a chunky Glock 36 with a T-shirt.... May as well hang a sign on my hip!

I have two of their Longtail Polo Shirts and its just too billowy/wide for me (the length is GREAT though). If I were 20lbs heavier it would work better. But I look/feel a little funny in it because its SO wide too. Their Slim fit longtail t-shirt is great though. Its a little tighter than I would prefer for CHLing but its not printing just a slight bulge with the G19 OWB, its would be totally invisible if I were carrying IWB .
I have not tried any of the regular T-shirts or Henleys yet though. I was planning on getting one of the henleys soon though.

if a shirt is long enough but just a little snug, layer it with a button up, you can leave the button up open, so you're not adding much weight/heat. It'll give you a little extra coverage. It looks very well put together. I think it's a nicer look. I know my daughter thinks so too.

A year or so ago, Stafford, a J.C. Penny item, still offered L and XL Tall Tees via Mail Order through JCP warehouse.

I just left J.C. Penny's and they have XL on up in talls in store. You have to go to the Big and Tall mans section though. Unfortunatly I fit both catagories

Dickies outlet in Ft. Worth has a sale going on. Some of their "tall" shirts that are a little bit longer are on sale buy one get one half off with shirt price around 23$. I'm not tall so regulars work fine. Got 4 for 73$ after tax, great all around shirts.

A tailor can take in a shirt on the sides and taper it down. I have a large neck and had to find tapered shirts, especially when I had a 32 waist. Trying to find a dress shirt that can be closed at at the collar and doesn't swallow me is tough. They just don't make 17 1/2 neck shirts that fit a 36 waisted guy with short arms unless you pay $85+ for them. I have found a good tailor can do it all on a less expensive shirt and get me into a nice looking dress shirt for under the $50 range. Polo's should be a snap for them.

Thats a good idea, I had forgotten all about that. I used to get all my uniform shirts tailored when I worked for Public Safety (Poor college department so all the uniforms were hand me downs that were clearly worn by stereo typical oversized guards).

I hope the tailor I pick is 2a friendly.

this reminds me....when my dad retired from the military he was still very physically fit, which the dress shirts weren't made for at the time, so my mom would put two tucks/vertical darts in the back to make them fit nicely on him. it would take up the "blousely-ness" but it would allow him to buy them to fit his neck and shoulders. a decent tailor should be able to do this. I've done it before, it's easy, you just want to be sure they don't take in too much.

Old Navy, Gap, and Banana Republic (all the same company, different levels of quality/price) also sell Tall Sizes starting at Medium Tall through Multi-XL Talls. You have to order online to be able to find tall sizes, but there is almost always 30% or so off that you can find.
