Their is a lot of discussion about mindset and how important it is, but less about how to develop a winning mindset. As a Silver Olympic Medalist, Lanny Bassham interviewed close to 100 olympic gold medalists and their coaches to understand how they succeeded. He found that mental management was at the core of their success. In particular the principle that to succeed we must focus on the solution to the problem, never on the problem itself. Mental rehearsal and self coaching are also important.
