Federal Judge Strikes Down Machine Gun Ban?

The SCOTUS decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen has spawned numerous 2A cases. This justifies the creation of this new forum.

A federal judge in Mississippi just ruled that the federal ban on machine guns is unconstitutional:

Whoa!

I’ve never really wanted anything full-auto, but a three round burst might be nice. I doubt I’ll see anything affordable in my lifetime. Too many things have to happen before they overturn some horrible laws and prices come down and new can be obtained.

I guess you don't agree with the old saying that happiness is belt-fed? I love full-auto for fun, but other than suppressive fire I would guess that the three round burst is probably more use in the real world. I don't like the three round burst capability because I was taught to use full-auto in short bursts like that by my own control.

But I agree with your comment about affordable. Even if the price of selective fire weapons comes down by repealing the 1986 law freezing the NFA registry, I don't see any way I could afford to feed these hungry monsters, no matter how much I like them.

Not at all. Belt-fed would be great if I could keep it well fed. However, just like my own diet as I’ve gotten older, portion size has gotten smaller and more affordable.
