The SCOTUS decision in NYSRPA v. Bruen has spawned numerous 2A cases. This justifies the creation of this new forum.

SCOTUS takes up Ghost Gun Case

Don't know how the court is going to rule. But I think the lower court and 5th Circuit were correct that only Congress can change the law.

The regulation, which took effect in 2022, changed the definition of a firearm under federal law to include unfinished parts, like the frame of a handgun or the receiver of a long gun, so they can be tracked more easily.

U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor, in Fort Worth, Texas, struck down the rule last year, concluding that it exceeded the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ authority. O’Connor wrote that the definition of a firearm in federal law does not cover all the parts of a gun. Congress could change the law, he wrote.

Every new rule the ATF has come up with the past 10-20 years needs to be struck down.

Bad news for the 2nd:

BREAKING: A 7-2 Supreme Court ruled ghost guns (untraceable weapons that require assembly) ARE “firearms” subject to regulation by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Thomas & Alito dissent

This is definitely disappointing news for those who favor gun rights. It means the ATF remains empowered to issue onerous rules restricting the right to keep and bear arms.

The Supreme Court ruled that the ATF has the authority to impose the rule. But it did not rule that the ATF must impose the rule.

All of Trump’s SCOTUS picks voted in favor of infringing the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.

And the “good news” according to the linked article is that anti-2a AG Blondi could rescind the ATF policy.
