Driving last week, a motorcycle cop (one of three) was waiting at the bottom of an exit ramp, and stepped out to motion me over. I pulled over, rolled down all four windows and waited.
Officer: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Me: Most likely my speed.
Officer: Yes sir, 51 in a forty. May I see your license please?
I handed him my TDL and LTC
Officer: Is your gun on you?
Me: No sir, it's here in my console.
Officer: What? It needs to be ON you. Do you have a Kangaroo carry?
Me: A what?
Officer: It goes on your body, under your shirt. You can carry a gun, even a full size glock. It totally disappears under a shirt. He
goes on to continue to describe the awesomeness of this particular concealed carry item.
Me: I've not heard of that. I will check it out.
Officer: Do that. Do you have proof of insurance?
Me: In the glove box, may I reach for it?
Officer: Please do.
I hand him my insurance.
Officer: Here's your LTC, I'll be right back.
I start to text a friend that I'll be late to meet him, as I was sure I was getting a citation. Not fifteen seconds later he's back at my window.
Officer: Here's your license. Please slow down for me. And one more thing? Put your weapon ON you. It does you no good anywhere else.
Me: You got it. Your name?...as I stuck my hand out the window.
We shared full names, then we shook hands and parted ways.
As I turned to look over my shoulder, one long ticket was being printed out of a handheld device for the other stopped car closest to me.
A very good stop, by a very good officer.

I have an old original "Air Marshal" model that I haven't used in a long time, but I like it.
