Minneapolis police officers in hot water
Re: Minneapolis police officers in hot water
The bullets, fired into the air, were never recovered. But police did find shell casings on the ground, and inside the SUV, which matched the 9mm handgun Minneapolis PD issued to Mars and .45 Calibre weapon the department issued to Thornbury.
"After the ballistics testing the shell casings at the scene of the crime were matched to the two service revolvers that were recovered from their vehicle," Backstrom said, "So there doesn't appear to be much question as to who fired these weapons.
I was unaware that service revolvers ejected brass just like an autoloader. Guess that the Minneapolis PD has some new fangled weapons.
