Just for future reference, I've learned that if you respond to those questions (e.g., Do you know how fast you were going), it is an admission of guilt. Of course, I am not a LEO or Lawyer, but have heard it on a few occasions.

Don't have to be an attorney or leo to understand that admitting you did something wrong is a confession of guilt.

If they have any evidence, they'll use it.

Besides, the Constitution gives us the right to not help the government convict us if we commit a crime,
so it's always best to be nice but zip the lip and don't admit anything!

I can picture in my mind a lot of folks just typing this stuff in and it just cracks me up...

BTW, I got pull over for breaking the speed limit on I-10 a week before I was laid off (horrible timing!) and the officer came up and identified himself to me...

"Good afternoon sir, I'm officer Bling-Bling with the Houston Police Department..."

I said, "No kidding!"

His reaction:

See...When you reside yourself to getting a ticket...It really goes a lot smoother...

What I need to do is not be such a pill, and learn to not pop off and keep my mouth shut...

A task which would appear to be impossible...

I betcha many of them have a digital recorder in their shirt pocket and I don't blame them a bit.
