San Antonio Ranges and class area

#1

Post by cabindoor »

Hey everyone, I will be in the San Antonio area from 26 Jan-15 Feb and my friends, family, and ex-classmates would like for me to teach a CHL class to them. Is there a range and class area that can be available for me to teach at? I'm stationed in El Paso and I usually teach out there. I don't know of any facilities available in the San Antonio area. Thanks for any help y'all might have!

Art,

I normally find a student to host the class at their home, and rent the entire 6-lane Bass Pro range near 1604 & I-10. Hope this helps!

Tim,

Thanks! That's an idea. Any info on the cost of the range?

Art,

Last time I rented it, it was $10 a lane for 30 minutes. So, $60 for the whole shebang.

Give Dietzs range a call (http://www.dietzgunshop.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). They might allow you access prior to opening (it'd likely have to be early in the morning...8am-ish). Range fee is $10 a head for as much time as you need. My only grip is that the sun comes up over the berm in the morning. As long as you can get your shooting done by 8:20 or so, you should be good. :coolgleamA:

It's a little outside of San Antonio in New Braunfels, but they are a helpful bunch and, knowing your situation, will likely be willing to work with you.
