1) Do renewals still have to shoot? I was told this changed and they no longer had to shoot. True?

2) New or renewals, photos no longer have to be signed?

3) 1 set of finger prints for renewals? True? 2 sets still for new students?

4) Is the DPS trying to drive me insane?

Thanks.

As above. w/ a couple of things I have experienced.
1. REnewals have to shoot.
2. Photos do not have to be signed. Renewals do not have to have phots. They are supposed to use you on file one. It has been reported that DPS is rejection a LOT of old photos on file & making renewals retake them.
3. One set of prints for new students. No prints required for renewals. To date I have done 2 renewals & prints on both were rejected. Good 5 yrs ago but rejected now.
4. not intentionally but that is the nature of the buracracy. ( sp)

Here's what I do,
1. Yes, renewals still have to shoot, unless it is their 3rd renewal.
2. Photos do not need to be signed, but I do have the students print their name on the back of the photos.
3. One fingerprint card for New and Renewal (just in case)
4. Not intentionally!
