New Members: Read the Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In recent weeks, we have had to edit or delete a number of posts for blatant rule violations. Most of them involve new members and one of two rules. One is the rule against profanity, including abbreviated profanity and attempting to circumvent the automatic word sensor (that will get you banned in a heartbeat). The other is the rule against personal attacks. Starting off with "I don't mean to offend you, but . . ." doesn't help.

Read the Rules folks and when you violate a Rule, don't complain that your post disappeared and you didn't get a PM or other explanation. All explanations are in the Forum Rules.

Well said. I personally like the word filter. It's like forum Orbit for my occasionally dirty mouth.
