Multiple same topic threads
If I may suggest, instead of closing threads that share the same topic, perhaps you could merge them together into one thread. I'm noticing that threads will get closed that have posted comments to them because there is already a thread posted about that topic. The problem with closing those duplicate threads is that you are losing the comments, and the other threads may have different articles, which is actually a good thing because it's showing more than one resource. A large message board I regularly frequent, does this instead of closing and it works quite nicely.

I still hope that some simular topics in different sub forums don't get merged. A discussion of Open Carry in the legislative sub forums is different conversation than in a general sub forum.
