Sorry for unannounced downtime

I apologize for the Board being down today. An update that should have taken seconds and that would have been virtually undetected didn't quite work out that way.

Ahhhhhhh... Technology.

It wasn't the unexpected downtime that had me worried, it was the announced return date of February 8th.!

Charles, thank you for what you do here.

I understand about not happening as expected. They updated our servers last night and supposed to be down for an hour. (1am to 2am). Here it is 3:15pm and they are still down. Having to work off of my personel laptop and it is slow. Then I will have to send everything to my desktop when its back up and going

That had me thinking as well. I was hoping it was just something short term. As indicated above, thank you to Charles for his efforts and patience with all of us. :thumbs2:

I thought maybe our host service was somehow linked to a federally funded outfit...

I was wondering what that was all about. I saw, "should be up by noon Feb. 8th." I thought to myself, "I may check back before then."

I guess I have to take back some of the bad things I was thinking about the NSA.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

That might not be as funny as any of us think. Part of my disaster plan is to watch this forum and Fox News. I figure if either one of them disappear, the black helos might not be far behind. :evil2:

Charles, I worked in the computer industry for 38 years. I lost count of the number of times when I promised customers that "it will only I take a couple of seconds" and was still there hours latter. But thanks for letting us know.
