Post by HD76 »

Today I noticed that new posts were happening in the future. The time listed on the main page is around 20 minutes fast.

What omegaman said. “Server Time” may or may not be in synch with a specific time zone. Logging in will cause the display to default to your time zone.

Can one post here without first logging in? Perhaps set time zone in profile settings? In the Central time zone select UTC -06:00 America/Chicago.

Showing correct time for me.

I am logged in, and the time on the front page is 1 hour ahead.

Check your user control panel settings. There is a time clock adjustment there. It is in the board preferences tab.

Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer 11 and Chrome time off by an hour until I log in, then all four show correct time.

My "board preferences" are set to the correct time zone, so once I log in the time is correct.

Perhaps the hosting server's time hasn't "fallen back" or the forum software time zone isn't set to central time.

I am pretty sure at this point it is his board settings.

It also depends on your DST settings for this forum. That is usually the cause of being one hour different here.
