A " carry gun " is only good if you carry it, all of the time. Of the guns you listed we have had the Glock 26 and a 4" XD and sold both of them because for us ( my wife and I ) they were not comfortable. We now have a CW9 carried in a DeSantis Scorpion IWB and you can actually forget that it is there. Very light and flat. We also have a 642 which is not in your mix, but probably for me the most easy to carry no matter what I am wearing or where I am going.

Once you pick one, practice, practice...

thanks, George

Couldn't agree more. All are good guns. You have to find the one your most comfortable with and WILL carry. Good luck.

Thanks guys for all of your replies. I was thinking lastnight about what I was actually looking for in a carry weapon and why I was having problems with my 1911 printing so bad. The problem I am having is the bottom of the gun down by the magwell is very noticable. I was thinking and ordered me a lefthand draw IWB holster for my XD-40 4" that way I can us the left hand draw IWB holster as a SOB holster. I hope you guys can picture what i'm saying. I'm right handed but like the draw from small of back holsters (basically I like the draw from behind me) with my current holster IWB for my 1911 its a right hand draw so if I put it behind me the grip of the gun is pointed the wrong way. So my solution of the day is buy a left hand holster that way when its behind me in the small of back the grip will be pointed as righthand draw SOB. LOL did I loose anyone? anyway I'll see how this works and let you guys know thanks again.

Just br very careful carrying that way. You can injure your back severely if you fall and land on the gun in that position.

I am not disputing the very real possibility of injury, but it is one of those things I've heard/read for years on forums and in gun shops. I've never heard or read of it happening. Has anyone received an injury from this carry method or know someone who has?

I tried SOB carry when I was a rookie CHL. It didn't work because it printed more if I bent over or sat down.

I know of the injury thing but, I have carried this way without a holster and I really like the draw and feel of it. I really don't think its a newb way of carring I just really like this way of carring.

I carry the kahr and mine is reliable. I also carry a colt mustang 380 and it is a simple but rock solid pocket pistol that is great for conceal. But I like the added power of the 45... I have a Kimber pro carry tle/rl II that I shoot regulary... I am looking at picking up the Kimber ultra cdp just to keep all the controls the same, and I really like that baby.
