Agreed, i've got 2, one for my Glock 30 and one for my XDS .45. For a IWB they are top notch. I've just kind of gotten away from IWB though. OWB belt holster and a long t-shirt is how I carry most of the time now.

I heard quality control has gone down since mark died. I moved away from iwb. Not me but my gut. There is room in there for a 1911 now

Still in great shape, easy to use.

That being said, there are a number of manufacturers out there, which have very similar quality, and much faster turn around time (at least versus the 4-6 weeks that Crossbreed had back then)

When I first bought my Crossbreed, I thought their turnaround time was terrible...but I learned something about them about a month ago.

After about 5 years of daily use, the Kydex on my Supertuck started to split. The gun still held OK, because it was IWB, but I knew it was only a matter of time until it split too far. I started shopping around for another IWB, and was about to buy one, when my wife suggested I take Crossbreed up on their warranty service.

So I did. I called, they told me what to do, and I sent it in. THREE DAYS LATER, they shipped me a new holster! No, not a repair of my old one, but a brand new holster.

So here's what I learned. #1 They honor their warranty. #2, They take care of their existing customers.

That #2 is very important to me. We live in a world where companies bend over backwards to get new customers, often at the expense of existing customers (Two free months if you sign up now! Well, what if I'm already a customer? Do I get two free months? No...that's only for NEW customers!). But Crossbreed, which provides a new customer a new holster in 6-8 weeks, put me, an existing customer, at the front of the line so they could give me something for free in only three days' time.

That level of service to existing customers means a lot to me. I'll continue to buy theirs as long as they do just that.

My wife and I both wear Crossbreed almost daily (some days I'll wear a Remora for a change of pace). I think it's a great investment.

If you like the Crossbreed, may I recommend the Comp-Tac MTAC. They are made in Texas and only cost a little bit more. Comp-Tac MTAC uses an adjustable screw retention system that can be tightened or loosened to your preference, the leather backing is reinforced so to resists flopping over with age, the hardware is protected from the body and sweat by a smooth leather backing, and the kydex bodies can be changed. As a holster gets older, the adjustable retention and the reinforced leather are quite a boon.

The Crossbreed is a comfortable holster, but I feel they are no longer the value they used to be now that the prices have increased. Everyone has there own preference on what is comfortable and works for them and this is just my 2 cents. I don't work for Comp-Tac or make any money from them, but I wanted to share my thoughts since Comp-Tac isn't as well known.

Comp-Tac also supports the shooting sports. They donated over $4,000 in holsters and mag carriers for the Youth Action Pistol League at PSC Shooting Club. This, coupled with the 41 S&W M&P pistols the Club bought, allows parents the opportunity to see if their son or daughter is truly interested before making an investment in guns and gear.

I've carried by full size 1911 in a Comp-Tac Infidel holster for years and it's like the gun isn't there.

I have two CrossBreed holsters and really like them. If you haven't tried their V Clips, check them out, they're my favorite of their clips. I want one of their mag carriers, but I need to lose some weight first, there's no room for one right now.

I have a few Crossbreed holsters and I would say they are good solid holsters. My only issue is I have taken to trying to put laser accessories on my carry gun. They have limited options for that. I have tried Swaprig holsters and also MTR Custom Leather this year. They each have a lot of accessory options. MTR has an IWB holster that is close to the Crossbreed, but all leather. The delivery is about 3 months though.

I haven't tried CompTac. I will keep them in mind.
