has the same marking on the frame and on the cylinder. It's hard to see but looks like some sort of a flag above a letter U. The flag didn't show on the cylinder. $10 seems like a pretty good price. I agree that it will make a good decoration. It would be nice to know from when and where it came, because you know that people are going to ask.
eta: actually the flag may be an illusion. Could just be two symbols (one looks like a sideways and solid D, the other some kind of pentagon or something) above the letter U.
