That's almost impossible after you have been sprayed with OC!!

Seriously, congratulations Thane. Proud to know we have upstanding young folks serving on our borders.

And good luck to you bigdook. Wish you the best!

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

what would you recomend taking with me as far as far as clothes and things. can i take my laptop. also do they issue all equipment such as side arm (what kind is it, and caliber) duty belt (still leather or have they moved to the nylon) expandable baton and cuffs? i have most of the duty gear but its nylon .i know about the uniform alowance. if issued a side arm could i opt to carry my own, as i am very partial to my 1911? sorry about all the questions ,im just trying to prepare myself.

All guns have at least two safeties. One's digital, one's cognitive. In other words - keep the digit off the trigger until ready to fire, and THINK. Some guns also have mechanical safeties on top of those. But if the first two don't work, the mechanical ones aren't guaranteed. - me
