Bought Another Pistol---Pic added

#1

Post by Emmett »

I have heard alot of pretty good things about the TAURUS PT111 MILLENNIUM PRO. So I was up at Acadamy yesterday saw one in the case asked to look at it, and it really felt good in my hand. The price on it was $299.00, I thought that was a pretty good deal so I went ahead and bought it. Striped it down cleaned all the grease and oiled it up. Wont be able to go to the range untill Thursday, unless the wind calms down and I go fishing, then it will be Friday before I get to the range. I will give ya'll a range report after I do make it out to the range.
If anyone has any comments on this pistol, good or bad please share them with me.

Thank You,
Emmett

FOR $300.00, you should have picked up two...

So how does it feel in your hand without the trigger lock?

I don't buy handguns there for a myriad of reasons, one of which is I cannot get a feel for the weapon due to the fact that they refuse to remove the big chunk of metal in the trigger and surrounding areas.

I have not heard anything bad about them. Sounds like a great deal for $300.00.

Sorry, just got some pictures to post. It feels great in my hand, I was able to tell that right off the bat. It conseals real well, it will probabley be my daily carry, it is lighter then my M&P 9c, it fits my hand better as well.
The price of $299.00 is the everyday price at Academy, that was what drew to look at it. Glad I did.
Here are a couple pictures. the first one is of both my M&P and the PT111.

This one is of my PT111 9mm.

I have a PT111 Pro Second Gen. DAO. Love this gun even though my daily carry is a PT145 SS 3rd Gen. SA/DA. Both of these Tauri are reliable, accurate, and easy to conceal. You're gonna like it. As stated above, great firearms. :thumbs2:

Yeah, I think I am going to like it a lot. I am going to hit the range in the morning, unless something comes up, Or I wind up on the lake fishing. I will let ya'll know how it goes when I have put a couple hundred rounds down range. We will see just what kind of bullet launcher it is.

Went to the range this morning to put theTaurus PT 111 Millennium Pro 9mm to the test.
I do like this gun. It shot accurate right out of the box. I put 250 rounds through it with no flaws at all, I used 115 gr. FMJ, 147 gr. JHP, 124 gr. FMJ. The gun felt good in my had and the recoil was light. It was easy to get the sights back on target quickly.
I will feel safe and secure with the PT111 is on my hip or next to the bed at night.

I ask them to take it off. About half the time they do.
