+1 on not finding any help at the Wal-Mart ammo counter!!
But to counter it with something positive, I was able to get 7 boxes of Winchester target 9mm for $4.63 per box. Which isn't too bad.
Maybe my white hair keeps 'em from asking for my ID and writin' my name in their book. See? There ARE advantages of being viewed as as "senior citizen!!"

Well, my white hair isn't helping at the Walmarts out west. They want to type in my birthday everytime.PPM wrote:

I'm about to start telling them the 9mm, .38 spec, and .357 are for rifles.

Of course we can all live with the price increase. It is just percentage wise a large increase. I was half way joking about loading my own but after seeing the numbers, it might be worth it.
I already have two RCBS presses, a tumbler, a good assortment of rifle and pistol dies including 9mm (not carbide), two scales(non-electronic), dial calipers, an asst of case gauges , etc...well I think everything I need. I just never set anything up. But based on AggieMM"s #'s It looks I can load for around $4.00 per box..of 50... for a savings of about $1.86/box. ( I already have a good amount of 9mm brass) and as has been said it might be relaxing to boot. It would take something like 1 round to start saving money.
Since the price was $4.86 a box I would only have saved 86 cents, but now $1.86. Sounds like it might be worth more study.
So lets try this again. A price increase.....
Who am i kidding I'll just keep buying it from academy. Looking forward to that loading seminar though.

Nitrogen, I have been buying my WWB 9mm cases from walmart for over a year and never have been asked for ID and they have never recoreded the transaction... Sounds fishy...nitrogen wrote:It might just be the Wylie wal-mart, or maybe I just looked like a troublemaker. I'll give it another shot at another wal-mart as i'd rather be shooting WWB than Blazer anyway.AggieMM wrote:Same here, never been asked my ID at Wal-Mart.ghentry wrote:I've never had either of them do that at my local Wal-Mart? I wonder if this is a local store policy?nitrogen wrote:I don't mind paying 4.86 for blazer at acadmey, as it's not Wal-Mart, and they don't write my name in their "ammo book" and bug me for ID like Wal-Mart does.
