Springfield XD 9 SC
I finally got to run a few rounds through our new XD 9 SC Sunday afternoon. What a SWEETIE-PIE it is!
I kinda' hate that Mrs. Oldgringo has now now decided it's too heavy for her carry. It's mighty comfy on my hip in its Don Hume J.I.T. slide holster. I sure hope I never have to use it.
When I get the geetus, I think I'll get a XD .45 Service model instead of a compact 1911. Thanks for listening. I just needed someone to talk to.

Re: Springfield XD 9 SC
When I first started buying handguns I jumped from the Taurus PT111 to a Kel Tec to a Berretta 9000 .40 but when I bought the XD 9 SC I instantly fell in love. It is the easiest gun I have had to conceal (either 2:30, 3:00, 5:00 and COB) with the 10 rnd mag. Plus, if you need a "Service" pistol the 16 rnd mag with grip extension is sweet, so sweet I bought a second one. (Yup, when I carry, I carry.......16 +16 + 10, My wife laughs at me when we go to Chic Fil A on Tuesdays (kids eat free)). In the next couple of weeks I am probably gonna buy 2 or 3 more (just in case the AWB comes back). I am in the market for another gun and think I will get the service .40 or .45 XD. MAN I LOVE THAT XD.

Re: Springfield XD 9 SC
If you haven't looked at the XD45 compact, yet. It conceals as well as an SC and has a 4" service barrel. It also has the compact mags that hold 9, plus full size that give you the 13+1.
If you are comfortable with the SC grip, you'll have no trouble with the XD45 compact grip....it's about 1/2" longer...sort of reminds me of shooting an SAA with my little finger on the bottom. I have been happy with my XD's.....no issues, no FTF's, just work guns, that work well. Good Luck.

Re: Springfield XD 9 SC
XD9sc is my usual EDC... It's also my IDPA gun when I go to the local meets...
Also have the XD45 Service that shoots way straighter than I can... XD's are
just really fun to shoot... I could use a few more as well...

I have a XD9SC and a XD45C I love both of them. They both are great to shoot. I usually carry the .45 everywhere I go. Enjoy

Re: Springfield XD 9 SC
I like my XD 9 SC so much that I'd consider trading my like new Model 585 SKB 20 ga O/U for a new XD .45 Service model and a few boxes of .45's OR a quality compact 1911.

I think my login name says it all. But I really like my Springfield 1911 Micro Compact too.
