I've used it at the Bullet Trap, but being that it is FMJ, you would be hard pressed to find an outdoor range that'd letcha use it.
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

Got two cases of it and shot up alot of it this weekend at Texas City. I didnt have any problems in my WASR. No duds, Fed and ejected well. My dad had a brand new WASR and had several FTE/FTF, but they were due to the fact that the AK needed some breaking in. Once we got all the cosmoline out of the chamber and cleaned up the piston, it ate them up like candy, so I blame the problems on the rifle and not the ammo. It does seem to have alot more laquer on the cases than the Wolf stuff. Didnt shoot dirty, and didnt notice any of the ammonia smell that others have mentioned. Shot typical AK groups. I like it, and plan on getting some more. :txflag:

Ran a few boxes through my WASR a month or so ago. No problems.

Bought up a few cases, finally.

I've got enough...but could always use more. I'll probably go on the buy a few boxes every month so the bank account doesn't take such a big hit.

I'm hoping the price hangs on even longer than Dec. mentioned earlier

There is something wrong with your AK. You should get it looked at.

Thanks for the tip :tiphat: . I just got me another 1200 rds to add to my tockpile totaling 3k. I might go for more, because they are only doing this till the 1st Nov acording to one of the employees here in Corpus.

I just loaded up on several cases at the Academy located at the Fountains in west Houston.

They had some more cases left. The guy said he'd never seen ammo fly out of the store like this was.

Amazing deal, thanks for the heads-up!

At the academy on Westheimer and Hwy 6, they just received like 800 cases of these by mistake. Now these are 500 rounds per case mind you, but there was a guy who they did a special order for, for 20,000 rounds (which is 40 cases). Somehow they ended up shipping 800 cases instead. They have been selling like crazy since this sell began. If you're in Houston and haven't gotten to it yet, or you're completely out already and want more, get there before they run out. The sale ends some time next week.

These are Russian made, by the way, and after inspecting mine they look literally identical to the Golden Tiger that I have been paying $209.00 per 1000 rounds for online.

Looks to me like the exact same ammo.

Guys at the store (Plano off 75) said the deal runs through the end of the year or until they run out of bullets, the latter being more likely with the speed it's going out the door.

I picked up some of the .223 today. ($132 per 500) Going to slip by again tomorrow for more, and some 7.62.

Who has the .223 on sale ? The Academies I have been to have it for their regular price about $5 per 20. Looked around online, but nothing much cheaper. Anyone know of any great deals on 223 ?
Thanks

There were 500 count boxes of Monarch .223 beside the 7.62.. The cardboard box looks pretty much the same from the outside, just smaller. Our Acadamy had .223 written on the end with a sharpie.

I stopped by the Lewisville store today to try and pick up another couple hundred rounds and they were sold out. The sales guy told me today was the last day of the sale too. I will check back in a couple of days to see if he was correct.
