More often than not I carry a Kimber Ultra CDP II (.45). What ammo do you folks carry and trust?

"What type of ammo to CHL?" This was a thread last month in the 'New to CHL' section. I don't know how to post a link to it. It had 32 posts to it. You might want to look for it.

I carry Speer Gold Dots. I like the 'short barrel' stuff they make.

So it will be here, this is the thread http://www.texasshooting.com/TexasCHL_F ... 53&t=23899" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You can also just find the thread, right click on the subject, and copy the shortcut. Then reply to the current thread and paste the link in like I did.

I keep Speer Gold Dots in the 9mm sitting on the night stand.

I just received my 2 boxes of Hornady Critical Defense FTX ammo in the mail today!!! So it will replace the Remington JHP in my LCP.

This Hornady FTX ammo is some mean looking stuff.

I have mags loaded with 230 Gr, Ranger XST, Power Ball and Hydra Shocks. I don't have an idea which one would perform best but all three cycle in my 1911's without issue.

For my Sig 239 9mm and my S&W 640 .38spl I use Hornady Critical Defense
For my .45 (Kimber custom compact) I carry Hornady TAP

I have become a huge fan of the Hornady Ammo. The Critical defense is by far the best ammo I have used at the range through my 9 and 38. And based on everything I have read about it the ammo is really designed for defensive situations.
