Glock 23 Qestion
Has anyone else noticed on a Model 23, or any other Glock for that matter, that the frame on the business end of the pistol curves slighly upward?
Might be an optical illusion (the slight curve), but the frame and slide are a hairs width, if not closer, to touching eachother at the end of the gun. The gap between looks consistent and "normal" as far as space between the two parts down the length of the rest of the slide...
I don't remember it looking that way when i bought it, but then again i could have easily over-looked that. The pistol has only been shot once, approximately 75 rounds through it.
Insight...?

it's all over Glocktalk.com. they call it the "pignose" and most accounts agree it is only cosmetic.

Re: Glock 23 Qestion
I have read of people dipping the frame into boiling water to straighten the frame.
All of the generations of Glock do it. It really isn't a big deal and doesn't hurt a thing.

Perfectly normal... Please dont boil your gun. It doesn't hurt anything at all, go over to Glock talk and do a search for "pignose".
BTW my 23 has a pignose but my 22 and 27 are straight... doesn't matter.

Why not boil it, if it won't hurt it. I like my Glocks well done.travclem wrote:Perfectly normal... Please dont boil your gun. It doesn't hurt anything at all, go over to Glock talk and do a search for "pignose".
