I like to buy whenever possible at local dealers. But I have purchased on line, gun shows and ftf as well.

I've only ever bought two firearms at a gun show in my life, and that was two .22 LR pistols, both purchased on the same day at the same Fort Worth show.

Here in Texas, I've bought only one pistol in a FTF transaction (from HighVelocity). Other sources were:

Sportsmans Warehouse: 2 rifles and a pistol

Sporting Arms: 2 rifles and a pistol

Cabelas: 1 revolver

Euless Guns & Ammo: 3 pistols and a revolver, a rifle, a shotgun, and two AR15 stripped lowers and lower parts kits

I like Champion Firearms in College Station. I also buy some at Academy, online on Gunbroker and deal with Gold Ring Pawn from time to time out of Silt, CO. I also buy on here sometimes but honestly haven't been in the market for a firearm in a while. Although my mind keeps drifting to thoughts of an AR-10 receiver to build.... :coolgleamA:

I have bought a number of my guns from Academy b/c they have the BEST price on a new guns IF they have it in stock. Their return policy is no good b/c they don't have one. But your warranty is good through the manufacturer anyways. I also have done a number of FTF with folks off this forum. And a few at local gun shows although I really don't like buying at shows b/c there is not really a deal to be had from what I have seen. I actually have left two gun shows after seeing the pricing there and drove to my local Academy to buy two pistols at a lower price. Budsgunshop.com has fair pricing and sometimes you find something that a really good deal on their site. I drool on gunbroker.com a lot but have never purchased anything from there.
