Sig 250?

I was looking at the Sig 250 SubCompact today, I like it, it feels good in my hand, love the Night Sights.
I havent got to fire it, but I think Reds has one, and I might make a trip just for that.
Anyone own one/shot one ect?
I'm thinking of making this my Summer Carry Gun.
Anyone know of some good holsters ect?
Is it ammo picky, I like to shoot the cheap stuff.
Is this the sig where you can drop a new barrell in and shoot 9mm, .357 sig, 40, and 45?

From what I've read it's a nice "out of the box" accurate handgun especially when chambered in 9mm. I prefer the classic p229 in .40 s&w.

I'm just looking for a nice 9mm but being able to swap Calibers sounds neat, do youknow if i'll need some tools to do so?

I have not held the subcmpact but I own a Compact in 40 cal and my wife has a compact in 9mm.
The Guns break cmplely down in seconds.
Sig has not delevered the LNG promised exchange kits yet.
Sig recently redesigned the grip frame so that one grip frame fits all calapers, It used to be that the 45 required a differant grip frame, to upgrade from 9 to 40, 357 or 45 the kit contains a mag, barral and slide, only the 40 and 357 share the same slide and Mag.
The trigger is a very long pull but smooth and no stackng although the long pull is a love hate thing, you either like it or hate it. Cleaning is the easiest out of any gun I own since the fire control unit comes completly out of the frame and with a spray can cleaner just takes seconds to clean.
Two helpfull sites are sig.com, there is a P250 sticky at the top that is 115 pages long.
Also P250sig.com is a nother good site, it doesn't have all the p250 bashers, remember Just because the gun doesn't work for the other person doesn't mean it won't work for you.
Cross breed, and MTAC make IWB holsters for the compact so the subcompact should fit either one.
I have a Supertuck and am about to order a MTAC so my wife can decide which she likes better

edit. Remember that the grip frame size makes not only a big differance in fit bit for me the small grip frame had noticbaly less felt recoil.

I have the P250 compact and have over 13,000 rounds through it. There is not anything I do not like about this gun. Very early on it went on a vacation to Exeter NH for failure to eject issues, they replaced the recoil spring and it has been perfect since. I swapped the grip module out for the small size and it now fits perfectly. People (sig snobs) tend to get on Sig about the DAO trigger, personally I found it to be the smoothest of any manufacturer and it breaks in the same spot everytime, making it a good ccw choice. I am waiting on the new "2 for" packages to arrive, we have 4 on order with Sig. They will consist of a sub compact and a full size with 1 trigger module assembly. I think the pricing will be somewhere in the $800 range. As an FYI the Federal Air Marshalls just standardized on the 250's in 357 sig.... Although I don't have the P250 I do have 2 other sigs. Both have never failed to go bang when the trigger was pulled, unlike two other brand pistols I tried to own. They may be pricey, but in this life you get what you pay for and should I ever be in the position of facing a BG-the last thing I want to have to worry about is whether the next round is chambered.
Although I did read the P238 review of Sig's new 380cal in this month's "American Rifleman. They reported every one of 10 brands tested had malfunctions except the Rohrbraugh.
Admittedly, that is oneSig I guess I will never own.

I have one of the earliest P250's. It's the only polymer-framed pistol I'm comfortable shooting, not to mention carrying. It's become my primary carry, even though I'm a dyed-in-the-wool 1911 lover.

The DAO trigger was extremely smooth right out of the box. It's only gotten better with use. Our son likes the trigger on my P250 better than his assigned H&K duty pistol. He'd be perfectly happy if they switched to Sigs. No hassle or special tools needed with the takedown or reassembly, and I've never had a feed or FTE issue with it, no matter what ammo I've used. (Watch, I've just jinxed myself.... )

No, it's not perfect. It sure ain't as pretty as my Colts. But I like it well enough that I've got two of them, just in case, and the .40 cal conversion kit.

The only hassle I've had with it was finding a holster I could use comfortably, the way I like to carry. I wound up getting a Bianchi made for a diff. but similar Sig, and gently stretched it to fit the Piggy. Now, of course, they've got holsters specifically made for the 250 but I'm happy with the way mine is broken in.

(Yeah, I said Piggy... the sales clerk inadvertently named it for me that day when he asked me if I'd "seen the new Pig C-250"... it stuck. )

I use to own a Compact P250 cambered in 40S&W.
Loved it! Very smooth DAO tirgger was not picky on ammo, Ate it all. Great shooter.

Sold it to my sister to help fund my Kimber Ultra Raptor.
I hope to buy it back from her at some point.

I've looked at the 250 myself, I think the 2-pack version is a pretty good deal. You get a big frame and a small frame for like 750.

You may also want to look at the sig pro, if you haven't already. I've heard they have a really nice trigger.

Anyone ever carry one, day to day? Can you just wear a loose T-Shirt or should you go with a Tshirt and a Button up?

I checked one out at Academy today. Very nice, felt good. It's on my "watch list" for a decent used one once they've been out a little longer.

Forget Acadamy, look at some of the smaller shops, we constantly beat their prices on handguns (some by more than $50.00), except the Sigma's which I will not sell anyway. They have great pricing on their shotguns and some rifles, handguns are another story.............
