I don't really consider the shorter slide on the 26 an advantage. It decreases the already fairly short sight radius of the 19, but doesn't add much to concealability. Slide length doesn't matter nearly as much as grip length when it comes to printing, especially when carrying IWB. Of course if the length of the slide is causing problems with sitting, that would have to be a consideration, but that's not a complaint I've seen very often.RPB wrote: The main advantage of a 26 over a 19 is the shorter slide.
You can still get all fingers on the grip with an extension on a 26, but when you take a hacksaw to a 19's slide ...
Neither is really really hard to conceal, 26 is more comfortable when sitting due to the shorter slide.

Re: Glock 19 or 26
I have been carrying a 26 daily for about four years.......I consider it the best gun purchase I have ever made. FWIW, I have owned two Glock 19's and got rid of them both.

Re: Glock 19 or 26
I use the crossbreed supertuck which works for either Glock. I normally carry my Glock 27 when in a Glock mood, (My Kahr PM9 gets most of my love), I have also carried my G19 and honestly can hardly tell the difference between the two. There is a slight difference and the G27 may be a little easier to hide, but if wearing my shirt untucked, there is no difference in conceal ability. I would go with which one feels most comfortable to you. I usually choose the G27 over the G19 because I like the idea of a larger caliber. I am sort of in the market for the .40 cousin to the G19.
Edit: I just realized I posted G26 above when I meant to post G27. I just corrected it. Sorry bout dat. the G27 is about the same size as the G26. I had a G26 but it turned pink and was kidnapped by my daughter. My post may make a bit of sense now.

Re: Glock 19 or 26
Actually the half-inch shorter slide on my Baby Glock makes it easier to carry because my Glock 23 will bump my pocket knife (clipped to back right pocket) sometimes. Also if carrying "tucked" the grip on both conceals fine but the larger "bump" from the G23 can look like a giant goiter or something under my belt lineBrianSW99 wrote:I don't really consider the shorter slide on the 26 an advantage. Re: Glock 19 or 26
I have both the G26 and a G19. I find that i carry the 26 most often in the hotter months. I think it is easier to conceal under just a T shirt, with a High Noon Bare Asset IWB and a gun belt (for the record I think a good gun belt is just as important than a good holster in the way of concealment). And I carry a G19 Mag to refuel.

I do not use the pinky extensions anymore.

Re: Glock 19 or 26
I carry a G22 or G23 (I like them both equally) IWB and a G27 in my ankle as a bug everyday and have no problems concealing. Im 5'11" 165. If it were me I would buy the 19, but I am used to concealing that size gun. You won't go wrong with the 26 either..... tough choice, good luck.

That pic above gave me an idea. I only have one supertuck as it fits all my glocks. I took the pic with my G27(which is about the same as the G26) compared to the G19. I don't see how there could be much difference in the two when using the supertuck.

I didn't realize the stuck was that big a chunk of leather. Good for Winter blocking the wind I bet.
My Comfort Carry with Comp-Tac clips is much smaller and doesn't hang way down past the 26's barrel like that. It's more combat cut-ish.
I also often use a Desantis Tuck This 2 for both a 26 and 19, and ankle holster for the 26, but I can't ankle carry the 19.
Either one is good, but I prefer my 26 over my 19 because the 26 just gives more options.

LOL.... yep...if caught out in the woods during the winter, just build a lean to out of the holster.RPB wrote:I didn't realize the stuck was that big a chunk of leather. Good for Winter blocking the wind I bet.

Anyway... it really isn't bulky or anything and spreads the weight of the gun quite well.

Above is the grip I referenced earlier that GT Dist carried for G26. To me, it looks & feels exactly like the full G19 grip. For some reason, however, I do not recall it being plus 2 or anything... Just a comfort addition, right?

Re: Glock 19 or 26
Pearce makes about 3 versions of that finger extension/3 models
1) No added capacity (for States who only allow 10 round mags anyway, but people want a finger grip)
2) +2 rounds
3) +3 rounds
Just depends which you got at GT, I dunno, but that isn't the +3 (13 rounds +1 Chambered=14) (I can tell by looking, about a quarter inch difference) it is either the +2 (12 rounds +1 Chambered =13) or the no added capacity.

Re: Glock 19 or 26
On the G27 (.40) it is not a plus 1 but for some reason i was thinking on the G26 it was. Maybe it was optional. Those are the Pierce Grips. They make the grip feel almost the same as the G19 size hand gun.G26TR wrote: Above is the grip I referenced earlier that GT Dist carried for G26.
