Disappointed in Uncle Mike's Holster

#1

Post by kingalls »

Went to Gander Mountain to purchase an IWB Uncle Mike's holster for a Sig P238, to my disbelief, "Made in Vietnam" stamped on the package and holster label. Left it hanging on the shelf and will find another option. Give me American made! :patriot:

More and more good stuff is being made elsewhere nowa days. I had a lady at the last gun show I went to tell me that maxpedition gear is not made in USA anymore either. Sad face...

The D.M. Bullard are some nice looking holsters. That 20 week turn around may be a draw back for me. In the past, I've ordered holsters from UBG Holsters in Utah. Never dissappointed in Nate's work, will have to wait about 3 weeks for his holster but it is worth it. Thanks for the replies. I'm surprised that the Uncle Mike's Vietnam holster wasn't made from rice straw.

I recently purchased a galco pocket holster and a galco tuckable IWB holster, have been happy with both so far was around 50 bucks for each and had them in less then a week. I can try and get some pictures when I am home from work.

Crossbreed Supertuck is very comfortable for me and my Glocks.

Comp-Tac is also a Texas company.
One of my IWB holsters is a Tucker "The Answer." Tucker is in Houston. (I also have a Crossbreed Supertuck for a different pistol. Crossbreed is in Missouri.)
I recently got a Comp-Tac Belt Holster for competition. Comp-Tac is in Spring, Texas.
My OWB carry holster is made by Kirkpatrick Gun Leather in Laredo, Texas.
