IWB holster for XD9sc?

#1

Post by techgiant28 »

Can anyone carrying a XD9sc give me suggestions as to a good IWB holster? I've got an Uncle Mike's, which is ok, but seems like a good around the house holster rather than an out and about one. Not secure enough for my tastes.

:iagree:
That is what I have used for over a year, I still love the holster.
For a right hander, I find it most comfortable about the 4oclock position

Downside, there is a 6 week (or so) lead time from Crossbreed. You may want to check Ebay or other online resources.
The going rate (for horsehide - better for summer and sweat) is about $80 + shipping

I've carried my XDsc for over 5 years, mostly IWB with a Comptac CTAC. Recently I ordered a leather holster that has proved much more comfortable and allows one handed holstering. Sam Hanks is a small operation, but he produced the following IWB for me from 4-5oz leather. Extremely thin, but well molded for retention. Exactly what I wanted for IWB carry. I know he deals with 7-8oz leather (and heavier) as well. You'd have to contact him direct as I did to special order for the XD, but I know he has the mold and his turn around time was about a week. Cost was about $45 shipped.

Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone. I'll definitely be looking into a few of those options... Any shoulder holster ideas? I like variety...

I carried one in a milt sparks vm2 for years and it was the most comfortable setup I've ever used.

I am so glad that I purchased my CB supertuck when the wait was only a couple of weeks. +1 on the supertuck, I carry a glock 26, at about 3:30. That would probably be really similar to the XD9sc in size, shape, and weight.

So nothing new to add, but another satisfied crossbreed owner vote. Best IWB holster I have owned, only one I'm using these days, when I choose to carry IWB.

I carry my XDm Compact in a Comfort Carry by:

It is very comfortable.
